Originally from New York, Kim studied at the Long Island High School for the Arts before earning her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from California Institute of the Arts where she was led to study in Barcelona, Spain during a summer with La Companyia. Other summer studies include Alvin Ailey, Regina Larkin and Carmen de Lavallade, Bates Dance Festival, French Woods Festival for the Arts, and Paul Taylor. Kim has seen her own choreography shown at venues such as REDCAT and the Architecture and Design Museum of LA. Along with HPDC, Kim dances for the Cabeza de Vaca Arkestra as well as other Art related projects throughout Los Angeles and beyond.
